VOLUNTEER AT CAMP!
Being a church-owned, and volunteer-operated camp, we are looking for volunteers for the summer in a variety of positions! Volunteers may apply to help for any number of weeks of camp. See the bottom of this page for information about our limited number of Bible college scholarships available each summer!
We need volunteers for the following positions: Camp Speakers, Recreation Directors, Cabin Leaders, Lifeguards, Camp Nurses, Maintenance Directors and Helpers, Head Cooks and Kitchen Helpers, Arts & Craft Leaders, Bible Skills Leader(s), Music Team, etc.
We would love to have you help for one week or for all of our camps. If you would like to help out at camp this year, you can fill out an application from our Staff Portal by clicking the button below.

- Fill out all sections of the Application Form as prompted on the Staff Portal site, and be sure to officially submit it after clicking the green "Sign the Application" button.
• If you cannot complete your application form in one sitting, be sure to click the green "Save" button at the bottom left of every section of the application and use the same login information to continue at a later time.
• Returning staff will be able to skip some sections after reviewing the information has not changed!
• Let us know if you need any assistance filling out your application! - After you "Sign the Application," you will be able to log in any time to view your completed form, upload any relevant certificates and paperwork, etc.
• During the application process we will share dates for required staff training before camp.
• All volunteers need to receive Plan to Protect certification training. If you take this training for free with us, we will upload the certificate on your behalf to your account. Otherwise, you can upload the certificate to your account any time after you apply.
• All volunteers 18 years of age and older will need to upload an up to date Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check every 2 years. - Keep an eye on your inbox!
• We will be in touch after reviewing your application and stay in touch on an ongoing basis through the rest of the process.
• Please ensure we have the best phone number and email address to reach you at, and check your SPAM folder regularly to ensure you don't miss anything! Emails will come from camp@cornerstonecommunitychurch.ca. - After we let you know you are hired as a volunteer for this summer, there's only one more thing!
• It'll be time to fill out the Staff Medical Form & Waiver, and the Emergency Contacts section before camp begins!
• These forms need to be submitted and checked for accuracy every year, even if they were completed last year. Staff medical information doesn't autofill year to year.
SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY
As Silver Birch Bible Camp is an important ministry of Cornerstone Community Church, we have a scholarship available for those who want to attend an approved Bible college in the fall and work at camp this summer! Those 20 years old and over can apply for a $2500 scholarship. Those 19 or under can apply for a $1700 scholarship. There are a limited number of scholarships available so all applicants will be taken under prayerful consideration. Applicants who are approved to receive the scholarship will be notified and a cheque will be made out directly to the Bible college they apply to on their behalf.
All who would like to apply for this scholarship must meet the requirements, which differ depending on the desired scholarship. Please see below:
Senior Scholarship ($2500) - If 20 years old and over
Junior Scholarship ($1700) - If under 19 years old

- Must work at SBBC for all 3 camp weeks and come to staff training. 20 is our minimum age to be in leadership over the campers at teen camp.
- Must attend or be planning to attend an approved Bible College for at least 1 year.
Junior Scholarship ($1700) - If under 19 years old
- Must work at both kids camps and come to staff training. If applicant is planning to take part in teen camp as a camper, they have the option of attending Teen Camp for free.
